Description

A tall square archway building with pyramid slate roof rising to a copper-roofed cupola with a gilded ball and finial; clock with Roman numerals on the cupola. The building is rendered and colour washed and has four broad corner pilasters supporting a simple hollow cornice. It has an open lower storey with single arches to east and west. The upper storey has a venetian window to the north with an attached fire escape staircase, small oval windows to east and west, and two sash windows to south.
