Description
Pen-y-Fron Farmhouse is a two-storey house built in local rubble and colourwashed, dating from the late 19th century. It features a slate roof with a shallow pitch and has brick end chimneys. The first floor has almost square windows fitted with 20th-century casement glazing. The central entrance door is square-headed and is sheltered by a gabled hood, with water tabling above. To the left of the entrance is a three-light casement window, and to the right is a two-light casement window.
Inside, the ground floor includes a living room that has a slate slab floor and a large fireplace with a chamfered beam and a late 19th-century cast iron range. To the right is a parlour, and there are stairs leading to the rear. The kitchen, which was formerly a dairy, is located at the back of the house.
