Description
Bothy Cottage at Gloddaeth Hall is a two-storey cottage featuring a timber-framed gable on its north-west elevation, with the first floor overhanging and supported by wooden corbels. The first floor has a three-light wood-framed window. The ground floor is faced with stone and has brick dressings, with narrow segmental-headed windows on either side of a central doorway that contains a ledged door with large hinges and a transom light featuring leaded glazing.
There are one-storey wings on each side of the cottage; the left wing has a two-light window with some leaded panes and a blocked doorway to the left, while the right wing has three modern windows in its front wall. The cottage has a slate roof and a red brick chimney. The upper floor displays applied timbering, and the ground floor is made of stone with brick dressings. The upper floor panels feature moulded plaster "AM" monograms and the date "1881". The three-light casement windows on the upper floor include some leaded glazing.
On the north-east side, there is a single-storey projecting wing with a gable that has a bargeboard and a segmental-headed three-light window in its end wall. The south-eastern elevation showcases a half-timbered upper floor supported on corbels. The large accommodation block and its link to the cottage are not included in this description.
