Description

This is a cast-iron lamp standard featuring a panelled and moulded pedestal with a stone base. The lamp has a wide fluted shaft decorated with acanthus leaves, bands, and a capital. At the top, there is an octagonal lamp holder with cresting and a finial. The base of the lamp is inscribed with the names "Turner and Allen, manufacturers, 201 Upper (?) Thames Street, London."
