Description

Plas-yn-Llan is a T-shaped building dating from the 19th century, featuring two-and-a-half storeys constructed of rendered and whitened rubble with a slated roof that is half-hipped on the sides. It has two large brick chimneys with simple cornicing at the center. The symmetrical facade has three bays and a central entrance accessed through a single-storey flat-roofed porch from the late 19th century. This porch has plain-glazed sides and a four-panel part-glazed door, supported by corner posts and topped with a simply-moulded cornice.

On either side of the entrance are large single-storey canted bays made of wood with flat roofs, which are later 19th-century additions. Each bay features four-pane Victorian sash windows. The first floor contains three 16-pane unhorned sash windows from the 19th century, each with projecting sills. The outer second-floor bays have similar but smaller windows, while the center has a small marginally-glazed sash window. The three bays are topped with gables that have plain bargeboards, with the central gable being smaller and lower than the flanking ones.

On the right (west) side, there is an angled single-storey addition featuring 16-pane and 6-pane 19th-century windows above. The left (east) side has additional 16-pane sash windows from the 19th century across three floors. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing that includes further 4-pane and 16-pane sash windows. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
