Former Carthouse Range at Maes-yr-Hendre Cottage

The former carthouse range at Maes-yr-Hendre Cottage is an early 19th-century structure featuring a carthouse block with later 19th-century cart sheds. The building is made of rubble with slate roofs. The carthouse section, located on the right, is a rectangular, two-storey block that has a wide, depressed-arched cart opening on the right, with slate ashlar voussoirs beneath a narrow arch ring. To the left of this opening is a small window with modern glazing, followed by a plain entrance that has a boarded door. There are two additional plain windows on the upper floor, situated under the eaves. Access to the upper boarded entrance at the rear is provided by external slate steps. The adjoining cartshed section on the left is single-storey and is stepped down. It features a plain central cart entrance, with an originally intended cart entrance to the right and a stable opening to the left, both of which are now blocked.
