Description
Penstep is a two-storey terrace of two houses that has been converted into one. It is constructed of rubble, partly whitened where foliage once covered it, and features a continuous modern slate roof. The roof has coved eaves and plain end chimneys with cornicing and weathercoursing, along with a similar chimney located off-centre to the right. The front of the building is symmetrical with five bays, featuring entrances in the second and fourth bays. The doors are modern, multi-pane glazed with sloped, hipped metal canopies above. The ground floor has 15-pane recessed sash windows, which have been renewed, except for the far left window, which has 12 panes. The first floor has smaller 12-pane sash windows. There are five wide splayed steps, partly cobbled, leading up to the entrance on the left. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
