Description

Glandwr Cottage is a two-storey, three-window small house constructed from roughly coursed stone blocks that were once limewashed and are now white-washed. It features a new slate roof that has replaced an earlier grouted roof made of small slates. The house is divided into two parts: the original two-unit dwelling on the right and a single window range on the left, both under the same roofline. There are traces of a blocked doorway in the left bay, which may indicate that it was originally an out-kitchen or possibly a lofted cowhouse or stable.

The main part of the house has a central doorway set within a lattice-work porch, likely from the late 19th century, flanked by windows that have been renewed in earlier openings and were formerly small-paned sashes. The first floor features similarly renewed windows that are aligned and positioned below the eaves. There is a wider inserted window in the left bay and a renewed window above it. Gable end stacks indicate the extent of the original dwelling, as well as the gable end of the left bay. The building was not inspected at the time of the resurvey.
