Description

Cemlyn House is a single-storey cottage that was raised to one and a half storeys at the front in the 19th century, alongside an early 19th-century cottage. The building features rubble masonry that is whitewashed for Cemlyn House, while Cemlyn Cottage is rendered and whitewashed with cement quoins. Both cottages have moderately pitched slate roofs at the front, with Cemlyn Cottage having a pitch that is daubed, and plain eaves with close verges. The original steep pitch is visible at the rear, and all chimneys are made of 19th-century brick.

Timber gablets are present over the loft windows, with three on Cemlyn House and one on the cottage. The buildings have bargeboards and Victorian sash windows. The doorway to the right of centre on Cemlyn House features a six-panel door, with Victorian sash windows flanking it, all under stone lintels. There is a small buttery window to the extreme left, also with a stone lintel.

Cemlyn Cottage has a closed gabled porch, a four-pane fixed window at the front, and an entry on the side, with a Victorian sash window to the right. A cobbled apron at the front of both houses extends to the roadway.
