Description
Peniel Chapel is a building constructed from rendered rubble with a random-coursed, quarry-dressed facade and projecting quoins. It features a slate roof with simple metal louvres and plain bargeboards. The symmetrical facade includes two tall arched windows at the center, which have rough-dressed voussoirs and slate sills, along with plain tracery and projecting quoins. Above these windows, in the gable apex, there is a tripartite limestone dedication plaque. The central arched section of the plaque has a raised inscription that reads: 'Peniel y Trefnyddion Calfinaidd 1868'. The outer arched entrances are framed by rusticated limestone architraves with projecting imposts and keys, and they have recessed double doors with raised and fielded panels and a plain glazed overlight. The chapel has four long sides with windows similar to those on the facade. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
