Description
Aran Dale is a two-storey, L-shaped house with two windows on the main front and a single apsidal projection at the right end. The building is constructed of coursed rubble masonry and features a gently pitched hipped slate roof with oversailing eaves. At the rear wing, there is a twin-flued stone stack with moulded caps and water tabling.
The first floor has modern two-light casement windows with stone lintels, which are similar to those on the ground floor. In the centre of the elevation, there is a semicircular open porch supported by slender iron posts, topped with a hipped slate roof. Below the porch, semicircular stone steps with slate treads lead up to a modern glazed door.
At the rear, there is a low lean-to outshot that fits into the angle of the L, featuring a corrugated roof and a plank door. A later brick stack is positioned on the main wall above this outshot.
