Description

Pont Wnin is a mid to late 18th-century single-span road bridge made of rough-dressed stone. It features a depressed arch with a chamfered arch-ring and dressed voussoirs. A plain, continuous stringcourse runs over flat buttresses on both sides of the bridge. The southern parapet has three buttresses: two flanking the arch and one further to the west, where the parapet bows slightly southwards at the bridge's end. The northern parapet has two buttresses flanking the bridge arch, with the parapet walls curving northwards to follow the river's course. The northeast parapet wall extends for an additional 10 meters along the riverbank, made of later stone-coped rubble walling. There is a benchmark located on the inner face of the southern parapet.
