Description

Nos 1-6 Mountain View is a long terrace of six cottages built in the third quarter of the 19th century. These two-storey cottages feature a rubble construction and have a continuous roof with end chimneys for each unit. The design includes simple cornices and weathercoursing. Each cottage has a symmetrical front with a central boarded door and a rectangular overlight. The ground floor has flanking recessed 12-pane sash windows, while the first floor features 9-pane sash windows, some of which have been replaced with modern versions. Each unit also has projecting slate cills. Additionally, there are modern extensions at the rear of each cottage, and No 6 includes a modern gabled porch.
