Description
5 Mountain View is part of a long terrace of six cottages built in the third quarter of the 19th century. These two-storey cottages feature a rubble construction and have a continuous roof with end chimneys for each unit. The design includes simple cornices and weathercoursing. Each cottage has a symmetrical front, with a central boarded door and a rectangular overlight. The ground floor has flanking, recessed 12-pane sash windows, while the first floor has 9-pane sash windows, some of which have been replaced with modern versions. Each unit also has projecting slate cills. There are modern extensions at the rear of each cottage.
