Description

The building is a two-storey, apsidal-ended estate stables that adjoins Gellilwyd Fach Farmhouse. It features coursed rubble masonry and has a steeply pitched quarry slate roof laid in diminishing courses. The roof is hipped over the apsidal end, with plain eaves and close verges on the gabled rear elevation. There is a polygonal stone central stack with a base, ornamental cap, and water tabling.

The entrance front faces east and has three windows under the eaves on the first floor. The outer windows are blocked, while the center features a two-light casement. A gabled stone porch with close verges is present, and the doorway is offset to the left with a stone lintel and a part-glazed door. To the left is a Victorian sash window, and to the right is a modern sash window, both with stone lintels. On the apsidal right end, there is one window elevation with a Victorian sash window under the eaves on the first floor and a similar deeper window on the ground floor, also with a stone lintel. A modern window is located on the left gable end, and there is a modern privy below.

Adjoining to the west is a contemporary stable, also built of rubble masonry. It has a moderately pitched slate roof with oversailing eaves. There is a gabled dormer above the loft doorway, featuring bargeboards, slate-hung cheeks, and a plank door. Below, there is a stable door with a stone lintel and a split door. A four-pane fixed light window is to the right, and there is a further split door at the extreme right. A lean-to stone porch with a slate roof is attached to the left side, adjoining the house, and has been extended in concrete block. Victorian sash windows are located below the eaves and on the ground floor at the rear, all with stone lintels. The rear roof pitch is covered with quarry slates, while the western end of the range has been largely modernized.
