Description
Bron-y-Cader is a two-storey house featuring three windows and a cross wing at the rear. It is constructed from coursed, squared rubble masonry and has a hipped roof covered with quarry slate, along with deep plastered eaves. The house includes stone stacks and water tabling.
On the first floor, there are twelve-pane sash windows set under the eaves. The ground floor has similar twelve-pane sash windows flanking a central French window, all with stone lintels.
The left end elevation has two windows, which are also twelve-pane sash windows like those at the front. The rear wing has two windows and a hipped roof. There is a later 19th-century porch that is inset at the angle with the front block.
To the south of the house, along the roadside, there is a high rubble garden wall.
