Description
Buarthau is a house constructed of rubble, with the house section whitened and featuring a slate roof with a tiled ridge. It has squat end chimneys with weathercoursing. The entrance is near the center and has a modern boarded stable door. To the left, there is a 19th-century nine-pane part-opening casement window, and to the right, a 19th-century 12-pane unhorned sash window. On the first floor, there are small contemporary windows, with a 9-pane casement to the left and a 4-pane casement to the right. Adjacent to the right gable, there is a ruined 19th-century mono-pitched, single-storey block that once housed a wheel pit between it and the house.
The stable section features an open entrance to the right with an exposed timber lintel, and a small blocked window to the right. At the rear of the range, there is a contemporary rubble dairy outshut in the center, which has two boarded doors on the right return and a shuttered window at the front. A later 19th-century lean-to addition is attached to the left, which includes a squat chimney on the left and modern window and door at the front. The stable's rear has an open upper loading bay, and its gable end has a ruinous lean-to addition. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
