Description
The former engine house and fog station at Bardsey Lighthouse is a single-storey structure with a circular plan, finished in lined-out whitewashed render. It features a projecting rectangular porch and has a massive moulded cornice and blocking course. All openings, including the double doors of the porch and the five windows, have hood moulds. The windows are mullioned and transomed, with the upper lights raked back. To the south of the engine house is a tall rectangular block with a single doorway, which was the original fog station but was replaced around 1970 by a new building outside the compound.
