Description
The stables at Plas Tirion is a long rectangular building, oriented from north-west to south-east. It is constructed from regularly coursed and dressed rubblestone blocks, topped with a slate roof that features slate-coped verges. The symmetrical front of the building includes a central boarded door with a narrow rectangular overlight, flanked by original slate-cilled stable windows, with two windows on each side. There are internal purple brick end stacks and a squat ridge ventilator aligned with the door.
Inside, the stables have a pavior floor and contain three stalls and two loose boxes. There is a continuous feeding trough along the rear wall, which is backed with white tiles. The roof structure is supported by king-posts.
