Description

Awelon is a row of wide-fronted terraced cottages located at 19 to 24 Aberech Road. These cottages feature a repetitive plan and are constructed from coursed squared finely joined rubble with slate roofs. They have large transverse stacks positioned on alternate party walls. Each cottage has a single window and door, with the front doors alternating sides. The windows are small horizontally sliding sash types with small panes, one on each floor, set into deep painted reveals. Long slate lintels are positioned above the ground floor openings, all aligned. The door and window at No. 20 are glazed and consist of six panes, but are handed differently.
