Description

The building comprises a 3-storey range of large blocks constructed from roughly dressed slate-stone, with the middle and upper storeys painted white. The building is covered by a slate roof, hipped at the splayed corner, and features a blocking course to both the corner and the High Street elevation.

No. 1 is a shop and house. The lower storey has a continuous boarded fascia and a deep bracketed cornice. The entrance is located in the splayed corner, featuring replacement glazed doors, with white glazed tiles above and a large painted sign. The High Street elevation has a single window, which is a replacement in an earlier opening. Above this is a 4-pane horned sash window to the middle storey, and a round-headed 4-pane sash window under a gable in the top storey. The Snowdon Street elevation, with three windows, has 12-pane hornless sash windows to the middle storey, and similar 9-pane windows above. The lower storey retains original openings, including a replacement half-glazed door and overlight, a window to the left, and a shop window to the right, all replacements.

No. 3 is a 2-window shop and house located to the left of No. 1 on Snowdon Street. It features a replacement shop window and half-glazed door framed by Tuscan pilasters, a fascia, and an awning, alongside moulded brackets to the cornice. The middle storey has 12-pane hornless sash windows, and the upper storey has 9-pane sash windows. The left-hand gable end has been pebble-dashed and includes an added porch with a single-pitch roof. A narrow 6-pane sash window is present on the left side of the middle storey, with a replacement window above it in the upper storey. The rear of the building has similar small windows on the right side. The building forms part of a group located at 1-3 Snowdon Street.
