Description

The Madocks memorial fountain, located in The Park, is a square polished granite structure set on a stepped freestone plinth. It features a corbelled basin beneath a spout and includes a bronze plaque inscribed with the following text: 'This fountain was erected as a memorial of Wm Alexander Madocks Esq MP the founder of Portmadoc and in commemoration of the coming of age of his grandson Francis Wm Alexr Roche Esq Feb 18th 1875'.
