Description

These four cottages, numbered 1-4 Elizabeth Terrace in Glasinfryn, were likely built in the first decades of the 19th century, coinciding with the village’s expansion, or possibly represent a remodelling of earlier cottages. The construction is of rubble stonework, originally rendered and now largely unrendered, with a slate roof. The cottages follow a curved alignment along the High Street, fronted by a pebbled path. Each cottage is two storeys high and two bays wide, featuring a central door with six panels and glazed upper sections, and two-light, paned timber windows. Dormer windows are set within small gables on the upper floor. The cottages have gable stone stacks topped with various pots. A single-storey service extension is located at the rear. At the southern end of the terrace, the original part-glazed door and windows have been replaced. The cottages are now amalgamated with number 2.
