Description
36 High Street is a house and shop that stands three storeys high and has three bays, featuring a roughcast front and a slate roof. The shop front on the lower storey is framed by pilasters with large consoles at each end and a plain fascia. There is a central half-lit door that has been replaced, situated under a boarded panel, while on either side are two-light shop windows with thin mullions. To the right of the shop front, there is a half-lit panelled door with an overlight. The middle storey contains tall two-light casement windows with marginal glazing bars, set in surrounds that have slender, weathered ringed shafts topped with foliage capitals. The upper storey features nine-pane hornless sash windows on the right and left, with a blind central window, all within architraves that have rusticated jambs.
