Description

This is a red-painted cast-iron telephone call-box located at the north end of a bridge over a disused railway. The kiosk features two glazed sides, a blank rear, and a wooden door with an inserted glazed iron panel. It has a square plan with a raised plinth and horizontal glazing on each side, divided by marginal bars. The top of the kiosk has four opalescent panels beneath a shallow Soaneian domed roof, which includes lunettes, each embossed with a George VI crown. At the rear, there is a rubble wall that continues from the parapet of the bridge.
