Description

Cae Glas is a group of five cottages built from pink rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring three red brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of a single range of four small cottages at the front, with an additional cottage in a southeast rear wing. The cottages are arranged in pairs, with each pair having one window on either side of a double porch. The windows are 4-pane sashes, set beneath slate slab lintels and slate sills. The upper window heads slightly break the eaves, which are adorned with stone dormer gables that have fretted bargeboards. The porches are gabled and feature an M-shaped roof with arched entries, the arches constructed from tooled grey stone. The fifth cottage, positioned at a right angle to the rear, has a porch with plain bargeboards and two similar dormer gables, along with a brick chimney stack.
