Description
Cynfal is a short row of houses located at 3-5 Sunnyside, Tremadog, and part of a larger group of buildings including 3-5 Y Graig. The houses are constructed of roughly dressed blocks of stone laid in regular courses, with stone and slate-stone lintels, a renewed slate roof, and four stone stacks, one of which at the right-hand end is partly pebble-dashed. Number 5, on the left-hand side, is a double-fronted house featuring a replacement fielded-panel door with overlight. The lower storey has an eight-over-two-pane horned sash window to the left and a similar six-over-two-pane hornless sash window to the right. The upper storey has hornless eight-over-two-pane sash windows. Number 4 was originally two single-fronted cottages reflected around a central point, and has hornless eight-over-two-pane sash windows. It includes a boarded door with overlight to the right of centre, with a horned window to the left, located in the position of a former second doorway. Number 3, at the right-hand end of the row, was also formerly two reflected single-fronted cottages. It has a replacement boarded door and overlight positioned to the left of centre, with four-pane sash windows. A window is positioned to the right of the entrance, set in the position of a former doorway. A one-storey lean-to has been added against the right-hand gable end.
