Description
The Old Farmhouse is a symmetrical, two-storey building from the late Georgian period. It features a 5-bay front made of scribed cement render, with attics in the advanced gabled bays at either end. The roof is covered with slate and has wide eaves at the gables, along with brick chimney stacks. The front includes 12-pane sash windows, with a dummy window in the center above a 6-panel door that has an oval traceried fanlight. There are arched headed sash windows in the attic and modern windows in the inner return walls of the gabled bays. Rubble boundary walls are attached to either end, each with boarded doors, and the left wall borders Penybryn House. At the rear, there are small pane sash windows, including two arched headed windows in the center and a sliding sash window on the right-hand cross range.
Additionally, late Georgian iron railings, dating from around 1817 when the old Holyhead road was constructed, curve around from Penybryn Bridge and continue along the terrace wall to the left. The interior has been modernized due to its conversion into two houses.
