Description
The revetment walls and railings are located along a tarmacadamed road with a pavement on the south side. The area is enclosed by tall, battered rubble walls, with the wall on the south side starting at the eastern end, reaching full height and featuring an end pilaster. This wall is topped with late Georgian iron railings that have urn finials, which border the drive leading to The Old Farmhouse and Penybryn House, and continue across the bridge. Beyond the bridge, the wall ramps down steeply and features vertically laid coping, which is partly broken and overgrown. There are steps leading up just before Tan-y-Coed, where the revetment wall consists of coursed rubble topped by iron railings, ending at a gated entrance.
On the north side, the wall begins lower at both ends, particularly on the eastern side. It ramps upwards toward the bridge and has vertically laid coping stones, which are partly rebuilt. At the far western end, a low plinth supports iron railings with spearhead finials that curve around to a terminating pier.
