Description
The Engine House, attached to the south side of the threshing barn at Home Farm, is a Grade II listed building. It is constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone and features a slate roof. On the first floor, there are three sash windows, with a boarded door located to the right. The ground floor includes a segmental-headed doorway and a six-paned sash window to the right of a projecting single-storey gabled range, which has a segmental-headed opening at the front and a boarded door on the right side. A substantial circular red brick chimney, set on a massive base, is attached to the west gable end of the main building.
Inside, the Engine House has a full-length loft supported by a king-post roof and features a slate slab floor.
