Description
Glan Seiont is a single-storey building with an original one-room plan, oriented roughly from north-east to south-west, and extended at both gable ends. The structure is made of roughly coursed rubblestone with some galleting, topped with a graded slate roof that includes some 19th-century slate replacements. The original part of the house features infilled windows on either side of a doorway that is offset to the right, and there is a substantial ridge stack to the left, which was originally part of the gable end, at the junction with the 19th-century addition. To the right, there is an infilled doorway leading to the 18th-century addition. The rear of the building, which overlooks fields, has a 2-light window to the left of the original house part and another window that has been later converted into a blocked doorway to the left of the stack. The 18th-century addition has two small window openings.
The interior was not accessible during the survey but is reported to include an inglenook fireplace and two chamfered cross beams in the original house part, along with a further cross beam in the right room of the early 18th-century addition.
