Ty'n Llwyn Farm - Bothy and Bakehouse Range to NE of Yard

Ty'n Llwyn Farm features a large rectangular enclosed yard, with the house positioned at its northeast corner facing east. To the east of the main entrance to the yard is a range that includes the Bothy and Bakehouse. This single-storey structure is built from quarry-dressed rubble in large blocks, with smaller infill and distinctively coarse mortared joints. The roof is covered with large slates and has a single ridge stack towards the right-hand end. Openings are topped with sawn slate lintels.

The bakehouse is located at the right-hand end of the range and was once accessed directly from the house. It has two modern doors beneath dormer gables, with the ridge stack marking the boundary of the bakehouse. To the left of the bakehouse is the former bothy, which has a doorway on the right and a window with modern glazing in an earlier opening on the left. Next to this, a narrower unit also features a doorway on the right and a window alongside. Further along, there are double plank doors leading to another unit that has a doorway on the right and a window on the left at the left-hand end of the range. The windows maintain their original design, consisting of a single upper pane over a slatted glazed lower section, and dark red paint may be a feature of the estate.

Internally, the bakehouse is limewashed and includes a large fireplace with remnants of an oven. The adjoining bothy also retains limewash and has a small fireplace, which is separated from the doorway by a plank partition.
