Ty'n Llwyn Farm - Cattle Sheds at S of Yard

Ty'n Llwyn Farm features a range of cattle sheds located to the south of the yard, west of the entrance to the fields. This single-storey structure consists of six regular open-fronted sheds, which are extended by two additional bays that connect to the barn at the southwest corner of the yard. The sheds are built from quarried rubble with some field-stone, showcasing coarse mortared joints, and are topped with large slates that have gable coping. Each of the six regular bays has a wide opening with a slate lintel. The end bay on the right has a wide doorway with a small window next to it, which may be painted in a dark red estate color. Originally, the sheds opened onto enclosed yards, and remnants of the end and dividing walls can still be seen.

The layout is standard, featuring a feeding walk at the rear, where timber troughs and racks remain in the right-hand bays. The sheds also display characteristic mid-19th century bolted king-post trusses. The rear feeding walk connects behind the barn at the southwest corner of the yard to the haybarn located outside the yard to the southwest, indicating an integrated design.
