Description

R. Gwynedd Evans & Son is a three-storey building featuring scribed render elevations. It has a two-window facade facing Gaol Street, a one-window splayed corner, and a two-plus-one-window arrangement on Ala Uchaf. The building is topped with a slate roof and has red brick chimney stacks. The sash windows do not have glazing bars. The overall design includes a Victorian timber shop front with a ramped and lettered fascia, panelled pilaster strips that rise from a corbelled cill band, and a panelled stallriser adorned with a circular motif. The shop windows are made of plate glass. There is a semicircular rere-arch leading to a recessed entrance on the splayed corner, which features half-glazed double doors and a coloured glass fanlight. Additionally, there is a four-panel door at the extreme left end leading to No 3 Ala Uchaf.
