Description

Pont Seiont is a single-span double-carriageway road bridge made of coursed stone and reinforced with steel tie rods. It features a round arch constructed with margin-drafted voussoirs. The abutments are finished with shallow splayed buttresses that rise above a moulded cornice, serving as terminal piers for the coped parapet. On the southern side of the bridge, the parapet includes a panelled tablet that commemorates the bridge's construction. On the eastern side, beyond the buttresses, there is a second round-headed arch that spans a trackway, also with stressed voussoirs and a rubble stone parapet. This arch connects to a later 19th-century viaduct that intersects at a right angle on the southeast side.
