Description
The revetment wall, built of low rubble, runs from The Arches to the Piazza. At the southern end, it features the Williams-Ellis Column, which includes a circular plinth and base topped with a tall whitened Doric column made of bricks. Atop this column is a bronzed figure of a classical nymph. Near the northern end of the revetment wall, there is a classical painted iron urn on a fluted column, framed by a large chinoiserie-style decorative wrought iron arch. This urn is accessible via a flight of four rendered and slate-coped steps.
