Description
The war memorial, built in the early 20th century, is designed in three stages and constructed from dressed stone with a square plan and chamfered angles. It stands on a low stone plinth featuring rounded corners and ball finials. The lowest stage includes a raking plinth and a moulded cornice, with a narrow rectangular door located at the rear (northeast). The middle stage displays a marble memorial tablet on the front (southwest), which extends down onto the lower stage and includes an additional tablet below. These tablets are set within a recess topped by a hoodmould. Above the tablet is a coat of arms encased in a moulded circular recess, featuring a chevron with three lions rampant and a banner inscribed with "MON MAM CYMRU 1920." Each side (southeast and northwest) has narrow leaded lights with round heads. The clock stage sits above the moulded cornice, with each face featuring recessed circular panels, and the front (southwest) face includes a clock. The memorial is stepped up above the clock stage and is topped by a figure of a soldier in battledress, holding his rifle at rest in front of him.
