Description
Rhos Isaf is a two-storey farmhouse built in a linear range, which connects to a former granary via a modern porch, creating an L-shaped layout. The main section features a three-window range with a single-window wing at the left (southwest) end and a single-storey converted outhouse at the northeast end, linked to the granary at the southwest by the modern porch. The building is constructed of rubble masonry with widely slobbered mortar, while the former granary is limewashed. It has a slate roof with a tiled ridge and rectangular stacks with capping.
The main three-window range includes a central doorway, which has been partially infilled with a modern window in the upper part. The ground floor windows on either side of the doorway were widened in the mid-20th century, and narrow windows are positioned directly under the eaves above. All windows feature slate sills. The single-window wing on the left has a doorway with a cambered brick head to the right and a shallow first-floor light to the left. The converted outhouse has a modern glazed doorway with an adjacent window on the left. At the rear of the main range, there are small four-pane horned sash windows.
Inside, the farmhouse has been modernised but still retains some original features, including joists, cross beams, and purlins. There are beaded boarded doors and partitions, and the main area features a central dog-leg staircase with a plain rail on stick balusters and square chamfered newel posts.
