Description

A forecourt wall on a plinth of 2 or 3 courses of rock-faced stone, comprising 3 courses of freestone and moulded coping. Simple gate piers to the R of centre are square, of which the L-hand has been re-tooled and has a shallow panel. To its L the wall continues and curves round at the corner of Wall Street, where it continues and abuts the extension of the S range. A short section to the R side of the gate piers is similar to the remainder, but then continues in rubble stone.
