Description

Melin Newydd is an early to mid 19th century circular windmill tower constructed from mortared rubble masonry, which was originally rendered, with some render still remaining. The tower features windows on the first and second floors, along with opposing doorways on the ground floor. These openings have rough voussoir cambered heads. The windmill tower is situated on a raised circular platform that is surrounded by a rubble revetment wall. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
