Description

Pandy Treban is a two-storey house with attics, featuring a three-window range and a lofted kitchen at the rear, creating an L-shaped plan. There is a modern lean-to extension beyond the kitchen. The house has rendered elevations throughout, with the main elevations displaying ashlar scoring. It has a slate roof with stone copings and tall, rendered gable stacks. The principal elevation faces east and is symmetrically arranged with three windows. The central entrance is a panelled door with a lozenge design in the fanlight, and the windows are slightly recessed, hornless, 12-pane sashes. The rear side elevations also have similarly detailed ground and first-floor windows, with exposed brick lintels on the ground floor and a 12-pane fixed light in the attic. The lofted kitchen has a single window range with an entrance through a doorway to the left; its windows are also slightly recessed hornless sashes, with ground floor openings featuring exposed brick lintels and loft windows set under the eaves. The lean-to addition includes a single, 12-pane, upper hung casement window.

Inside, the house has a central corridor plan with the main rooms located at the front. The principal rooms retain panelled reveals, picture rails, and ornate moulded cornices. The hall and landing feature moulded roseate ceiling bosses. There is a dog-leg staircase with a clasping handrail and stick balusters, while the attic staircase has shaped brackets supporting an open string. The central corridor leads to the kitchen at the back of the house, where the threshold, lintels, and chamfered bressumer are made from drilled timbers, possibly reused from the nearby fulling mill.
