Description
This building, known as House and Priestman's Bookshop or Regent House, is a two-storey, four-window structure in the late Georgian style. It features a whitened pebble-dashed front and a slate roof with two skylights and pebble-dashed end stacks. The lower storey includes a central shop front with plain wooden pilasters and fascia, a two-light window, and a half-glazed door with an overlight to the right. There is also a replacement small-pane top-hung casement window at the right end. At the left end, there are boarded passage doors with chamfered jambs.
The upper storey has a sill band and features 12-pane top-hung casement windows that have replaced the original sashes. The right gable end, which faces the church, has a 12-pane top-hung casement window on the right side. The passage, supported by two round arches, leads to the rear, where there is a two-storey rear wing with replaced windows. The rear of the main range is also rendered and has replacement windows. The rear roof slope has been renewed with slates and has three inserted skylights. The building has been modernised.
