Description

Ty'n-llidiart is a single-storey cottage dating from the 18th century, featuring a two-unit plan. The cottage has rubble walls with a rendered and limewashed front, while the gable ends are also rendered. It has a roof covered with small slates and includes a square stone chimney on the left and a smaller chimney on the right, which serves the parlour; both chimneys have modern pots. The symmetrical front faces east and features a central boarded door flanked by sash windows with margin lights. At the rear, there is a small modernised extension with a pitched roof.

Attached to the north side of the cottage is a single-bay cowhouse with a door and a vent slit in the gable end, along with a two-unit pigsty that includes a yard and feeding troughs. There is also a stone privy at the end of the range.

Originally, the cottage was a three-room dwelling, with the kitchen located on the left, which was served by an inserted brick inglenook to the south. Inside, the floors are made of slate flags.
