Description
This early 19th century barn has a long rectangular plan and is constructed of rubble with harl pointing, incorporating re-used defensive features from an earlier building.
On the east elevation facing the road, there is a simple door at the north end, with an inserted figurative head to the right of the door, featuring naive incised details and an open mouth. To the left of the door, there are two inverted reused masonry gun-loop windows.
The gable elevations feature ventilation slits that are symmetrically arranged in ascending order, with three on one side, two on the other, and one at the top.
The rear elevation includes a door and a later lean-to outshot that is now roofless. The barn is finished with graded grey slate.
