Description
Inveruglas Farmhouse is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey farmhouse that was originally a three-bay symmetrical structure but is now used as a store. It is constructed from whitewashed rubble and features a steading arranged in a courtyard to the north.
The north elevation facing the courtyard has a boarded door at the center with a letterbox fanlight above it, and a boarded hoist door located above. There are blocked windows on both the right and left sides, which serve as ventilation slits.
On the south elevation, there is an 8-pane sash and case window at the ground level on the outer right, while the first floor has blocked windows, one off-centre to the right and one on the outer left.
The east elevation is mostly blank but includes a window on the first floor to the left.
The west range of the steading is a single-storey L-plan structure linked to the farmhouse. It has a boarded door and windows with boarded lower shutters and 6-pane upper sections.
The road elevation features two windows with boarded lower shutters and 12-pane upper sections, while the outer right gable is blank, except for a window in the gablehead that is louvred.
The east range has a rectangular plan with narrow boarded doors on both the outer right and left sides, and a broad, boarded sliding door at the center.
The building is topped with a graded grey slate roof and has lead flashings, along with sandstone apex stacks that remain from the former house. There are cast-iron rooflights on the steading and a small, louvred timber ridge ventilator.
