Description

This is a later 19th century milepost located in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It is made of white painted cast iron and has a hollow structure with two angled faces. The column is topped with a wider faceted head that features two panels of raised lettering. The inscriptions read 'CALLANDER 7 MILES STIRLING 23 MILES' and 'TROSSACHS HOTEL 1 ¼ MILES LOCH KATRINE 2½ MILES'.
