Description
The Brig o' Michael is a large 18th century bridge constructed from rubble. It features a single segmental-arched span that carries a road over the Black Water. The carriageway has a hump and is flanked by rubble parapets topped with rough rubble coping made of upended stones. This bridge marks the boundary between the parishes of Aberfoyle and Callander. The Brig o' Michael is notable for being a relatively large and unaltered example of an 18th century rural bridge.
