Description

Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Planning Authority

John F Bateman (engineer); Robert Simpson, John Parkinson and Joseph Mann of Halifax (contractors) 1855-9, some alterations 1860-64. Low-lying, 13-bay, roughly 16 yard, small aqueduct bridge comprising cast-iron trough supported on masonry base and short girder-section over burn; whinstone archway with red sandstone cope and voussoirs at each end. Central sluice mechanism marked B3G. 2007 cover and railings.
