Description
Blairuskin Sighting Pillar, formerly part of the Glasgow Corporation Water Works, was designed by James M Gale around 1885. It features a slightly battered, square-plan structure topped with a pyramidal cap. The pillar stands on a deep, battered masonry base that includes low parapet walls and steps leading to the top. The construction consists of random schist rubble with sandstone quoins and steps.
