Description

Blairmore House Lodge, built in 1858, is one of the notable marine villas in Blairmore and is an important part of the overall design of the main house. It enhances the streetscape of Blairmore.

This small lodge features a rounded corner facing the road to the southeast and has a slate roof with a prominent central chimney that is coped. It includes heavy rusticated consoles that match those on the main house and a concave moulded door surround. The symmetrical south elevation has a central entrance flanked by bipartite windows.

The interior of the lodge was not accessible during the 2004 survey.

The building is constructed of harled rubble with sandstone dressings, a grey slate roof, stone stacks, and clay cans. It has timber doors and timber sash and case windows.
